Her Excellency Ms. Lauria Ngayino Nguele-Makouelet, Ambassador of the Republic of Congo (Congo-Brazzaville) to Botswana, paid a Courtesy Call on Ms. Dimpho Mogami, Acting Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of International Relations.
Botswana and the Republic of Congo established bilateral relations in 2006. Cooperation between the two countries has predominately been through common membership to international organisations such as the United Nations and the Africa Union. Among others, during their meeting, the two noted that there are opportunities for enhanced cooperation between Botswana and the Republic of Congo in various areas, such as mining, agriculture, trade, transport and health. The Courtesy Call precedes the Republic of Congo’s National Day reception, which will take place in Gaborone, on 15th August 2025.
